Ibrahim Al-Maghlouth
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Ibrahim Almaghlouth is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Metafare. A rheumatologist and research methodologies specialist, he is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at King Saud University, where he has served as Director of Medical Research at the College of Medicine research centre and as site director of the adult rheumatology training programme. He completed his postgraduate clinical training at the University of Toronto, where he also earned a master's degree in clinical epidemiology, and he holds a master's degree in experimental medicine from McGill University. His academic work centres on systemic lupus erythematosus, Behcet's disease and Still's disease, and he has contributed to the national prospective lupus cohort in Saudi Arabia as well as published research on rheumatoid arthritis, axial spondyloarthritis and systemic sclerosis quality of care. Alongside his academic career he has held senior roles across Saudi health organisations, serving as population health advisor at Itkan Health, clinical information officer at NEOM and founder of VIA Care, and he is an accredited surveyor with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. His work combines clinical credibility with operational depth in value-based care, clinical information and healthcare transformation.
