Fadi Smeirat is a partner in EY's consulting practice and leads its health sciences and wellness industry market for the Middle East and North Africa, serving some of the world's largest pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology companies. He is global consulting account leader for several regional pharmaceutical companies and the regional coordinating partner for almost all the multinational life sciences firms operating in the region, with more than twenty years of consulting and business advisory experience. His work covers finance transformation, process reengineering, shared services design and implementation, organisational change management, information systems implementation, statutory and regulatory controls design and global programme management. Before joining EY in 2005 he began his career at a regional family conglomerate, working on process audits, internal controls design and operational reviews in manufacturing.
