Christopher Rockenbach leads the international and commercial arm of Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust in London, one of the world's best known paediatric hospitals, whose international division treats patients referred from abroad and runs education and clinical partnerships. He signed the hospital's partnership with M42 to strengthen paediatric care in the Middle East through education programmes, with a stated intention to extend it to genomics and research. He has taken part in a UK trade mission to Saudi Arabia to discuss nursing opportunities and education with hospitals, universities and government bodies, and led the hospital's delegation, the largest international contingent, to the first International Conference on Conjoined Twins in Riyadh, marking 30 years of the Saudi conjoined twins programme.
