Ben Simms
Chief Executive Officer
Ben Simms has spent about 30 years running global health, disability and development programmes in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. He leads Global Health Partnerships, the British organisation formerly known as THET, which pairs health institutions in the United Kingdom with counterparts overseas. Before joining it he held senior roles at Sue Ryder, Sense International and STOPAIDS, and worked with United Nations agencies on rights-based public health programming. Under his leadership the health partnership model has grown so that thousands of NHS staff now work with peers in more than 30 countries. He writes and speaks regularly on the global health workforce and on equitable partnership.
