Dr Bandar Alkahlan is General Manager and a researcher at the Advanced Manufacturing Technologies Institute at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia's national science agency and its body for research, development and innovation. The institute works on advanced manufacturing technologies including additive manufacturing, robotics and industrial automation, and on transferring them into local industry. He leads its research programmes and its partnerships with universities and companies on localising construction and manufacturing technology.
