Abdulrahman Ibrahim Al Shaya is Chairman of Collaboration and Partnerships at the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center, where he leads national and international deal-making across biotechnology investment, cross-border research partnerships and strategic alliances with global institutions, investors and industry leaders. He also serves as scientific advisor to the Saudi Food and Drug Authority and sits on the Ministry of Investment's national biotechnology deal flow committee, placing him at the centre of the Kingdom's biotech investment and regulatory landscape. His portfolio includes structuring the Saudi-Japanese biotechnology fund and advancing research partnerships with global life sciences institutions and investors. He holds an MBA from Texas Tech University and completed postgraduate training through Harvard-affiliated programmes at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
