Sky Kurtz is founder and chief executive of Pure Harvest, a technology-enabled agribusiness growing produce in controlled environments in the Gulf, where climate makes conventional farming water-intensive and seasonal. He holds an MBA from Stanford and is a serial entrepreneur and investor with experience building and scaling businesses across agriculture, technology and private equity. Controlled-environment agriculture is one of the few routes by which a desert economy can grow fresh food while cutting the water each kilogram requires.
