Sechaba Metsing is managing director of Metsing Mining & Civil works, a South African contractor working across mining and civil construction. His background is in the mining and metals industry as a chief executive, with direct responsibility for business planning, operations management and plant operations, and a working focus on process optimisation and metals production. Leading a contractor that serves mining and civils at once places him between two sides of the same site: the extraction programme a mine has to hit, and the roads, earthworks and structures that make it achievable. From that vantage point he balances plant availability against the civil work that must be sequenced around it.
