Muhammad Abbasi leads strategic initiatives and growth at Saudi Electric Services Polytechnic, the vocational institute that has been preparing technicians for the Kingdom's power utility industry since it opened in September 2012. The polytechnic runs training centres in Riyadh, Juaymah and Baish, has held United States accreditation for continuing education and training since 2018, and awards associate diplomas in technology, in health, safety and environment, and in operation and maintenance engineering. Its curriculum has widened well past conventional electricity work: solar PV design and installation courses now sit alongside wind and renewable energy programmes developed with King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, carrying internationally recognised professional certificates. His remit covers the institute's strategic initiatives and the growth agenda underneath that expansion.
