Mohaned Juwad

Vice President, Middle East Policy and Regulatory Affairs

Mohaned Juwad is Vice President, Middle East Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Viasat, based in London. He took up the position in 2025, following a career in satellite communications in which he served as Director of Spectrum Policy and Strategy at Intelsat from 2022 to 2025 and as Senior Manager of Spectrum Policy at the same company from 2016 to 2022. Before rejoining Intelsat in 2016, he was manager of regulatory licensing and market access at Avanti Communications Group, where he was responsible for acquiring licences and authorisations for Ka-band geostationary satellite services across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and for regulatory work at the ITU, CEPT and other regulatory bodies. He holds a PhD in wireless communications from Brunel University, completed between 2005 and 2008.
