Isabelle Mauro
Director General
Isabelle Mauro is Director General of the Global Satellite Operators Association (GSOA) since February 2023; the association announced her appointment in November 2022, succeeding Aarti Holla-Maini. She has 25 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology sector and holds an MSc in European Politics and Policy from the London School of Economics. She began her career at the GSMA, where she spent 15 years responsible for government and international affairs. In 2015 she moved to New York to join the World Economic Forum as Head of the Information and Communications Technology industry, managing a portfolio of more than 60 technology companies and leading initiatives on inclusive and sustainable digital transformation; she remained there for seven years. She has served as a commissioner of the UN Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development, and is an advisory board member at Access Partnership, a high-level advisory board member of the DigitalGoesGreen Foundation and an advisory board member of Women in Tech. She speaks French, English, Italian and Spanish.
