Senior GIS System Specialist at NHC Innovation, the independent technology arm of the National Housing Company. He works on the spatial layer of the company's data: land locations and boundaries, neighbourhood plans, the distribution of housing units and their relation to services and roads. Geographic information systems in a housing developer are a decision tool rather than a display tool, since the selection of project sites, the estimation of demand in each area, and the measurement of a neighbourhood's share of schools, health centres and open space all rest on them. These systems meet property technology in building digital twins of neighbourhoods and simulating the effect of development before it is carried out, and in connecting the map to the platforms a home seeker browses.
