Saad Al-Qasabi
Governor
Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) at excellent rank since 2012. He holds a doctorate in computer engineering from Syracuse University in the United States. He began his academic career as a teaching assistant in the computer engineering department at King Saud University, later serving as assistant director general of the university's computing and information systems administration, and worked as a general manager at the Technical Company for Technology Localisation. He chairs the Saudi Accreditation Committee (SAC), the board of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), and the advisory council of King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital. During his tenure he has led the modernisation of the national standards system and its alignment with international norms, and expanded the role of accreditation and conformity assessment in protecting the Saudi market.
