Marco Antonio Gómez Castillo is senior director for dry utilities within the public private partnership programme at Red Sea Global, the Saudi developer owned by the Public Investment Fund that is building the Red Sea and Amaala destinations on the Kingdom's west coast. Dry utilities covers power, lighting and telecommunications infrastructure, and delivering it through public private partnership means structuring long-term contracts in which a private partner finances, builds and operates the asset. Both destinations are designed to run on renewable power.
