Maged Ismail

Maged Ismail is Chief Executive Officer of the Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA). He was appointed by presidential resolution No. 439 on 19 August 2025 for a one-year term, succeeding Prof. Sherif Sedky. He holds a master's degree and a PhD in electrical engineering, joined Egypt's National Space Technology Transfer Programme in 2008 and has contributed to training and qualifying technical and engineering personnel in space and satellite disciplines. He progressed through the Space Technology Center as Head of the Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) Sector from 2014 to 2021, Deputy Director from 2021 to 2022 and Director from 2022 to 2024. He served on the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Space Agency from 2022 to 2024 and chaired the management committee of the Space Technology Transfer Programme. His expertise covers programme management, systems engineering, satellite integration and testing, and the development of national space infrastructure.
