James Luxbacher is chief business development officer at Sixt KSA, the Saudi arm of the German mobility group Sixt, where he drives commercial growth across vehicle rental, leasing and corporate mobility services in the Kingdom. His career in the rental sector began in the United States with Hertz, working across corporate and operational functions, before he moved to the Gulf as general manager of Avis in the United Arab Emirates and steered that business through the disruption of the pandemic. In Saudi Arabia he has pushed the company into electric mobility, helping build one of the largest electric vehicle fleets operating in the Kingdom, and has tied Sixt into partnerships with the giga-projects reshaping Saudi transport demand. More than 18 years in mobility across North America and the Middle East sit behind that record.
