Hodan Aden is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Empire AI, a Norwegian company that develops software for planning and managing offices on the basis of data and facts rather than guesswork and old standards. The company was founded by workspace professionals with more than a decade of experience in developing office buildings, and its data show that in many offices 80 to 90 per cent of chairs and 50 to 60 per cent of rooms stand empty during working hours. Her company describes her as one of Norway's leading workplace advisors, and together with her colleague Marlene Dahle she has presented findings on how offices are actually used, based on data collected from nearly 60,000 measurement points.
