Felipe Alvear is an internationally accomplished culinary executive with nearly two decades of experience leading luxury hospitality, resort pre-openings and multi-brand restaurant operations across the Middle East. He is currently Culinary Expert for Grand Hyatt The Red Sea on Shura Island, where he leads the pre-opening culinary strategy for one of Saudi Arabia's flagship luxury destinations, overseeing nine dining venues, banquet facilities and a 430-room resort due to open in 2026. Prior to Hyatt he was Group Culinary Director at Gastronomica GCC, overseeing culinary operations for more than 45 restaurants across 15 brands throughout the GCC, and Head of Restaurants & Culinary Operations at Cool Inc. in Saudi Arabia. He has also held executive roles with Ennismore, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group.
