Fatima Karim

ASMG Chairperson

Fatima Karim is Chair of the GSA team for the Arab Spectrum Management Group (ASMG) and Technical Director for Spectrum Regulation and Policy at Huawei Technologies, with a focus on the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. She contributes to spectrum regulation and policy work globally in ITU-R, regionally in the ASMG and CEPT, and nationally in collaboration with interested administrations. From 2002 to 2016 she was Senior Technology Standardization Manager and strategist for Orange Group at global level, where she was an active contributor to 3GPP, including work on 5G New Radio use cases and requirements, LTE evolution, spectrum standardisation and M2M/IoT.
