Badr N. Alsuwaidan

Badr Alsuwaidan is President and CEO of Arabsat. Arabsat's board appointed him with effect from 13 August 2025, succeeding Alhamedi Alanezi. He has more than 25 years of experience in the space industry and previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Arabsat from 2020, including a period as acting CEO. Before joining Arabsat he worked at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in Riyadh, where he was Deputy Director for scientific affairs at the National Satellite Technology Center, became Director of the Center in 2013 and Director of the Space Research Institute in 2016, managing various satellite missions and services. In June 2019 he served as a consultant to the newly created Saudi Space Commission.
