Aya Iwamoto is Deputy Director of the National Space Policy Secretariat, Cabinet Office, Government of Japan. The Secretariat handles space policy planning and coordination for the Japanese government, including drafting Cabinet decisions on the Basic Plan on Space Policy, coordinating government-wide efforts, and implementing measures such as the development and operation of the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System, working under the Strategic Headquarters for National Space Policy.
