Awaadh Al Otaibi is chief executive of Miahona, a Saudi infrastructure development and holding company listed on the Saudi Exchange with investments across the water infrastructure sector. Miahona was the first developer of water and sewage infrastructure in the Kingdom to use the public private partnership model, from 2003, and serves a population of more than eight million across several cities. He has more than twenty years of experience across government and the private sector. He was vice president for commercial affairs and privatisation at the National Water Company, and acting director general for commercial affairs at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, where he led the privatisation strategy for the distribution sector and the national water strategy to 2030. He also serves as president of several industrial and downstream companies.
