Amr Jamal
Co-Chair and Scientific Lead
Amr Jamal is Chairman of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at King Saud University’s College of Medicine and Medical City, a practising consultant family physician and a professor of clinical informatics and family medicine. He is the founding co-chair and scientific lead of ZIMAM, established in 2016 and formalized as a non-profit in 2023 to develop a scalable digital health workforce. He was the founding programme director of the Master of Health Informatics at King Saud University from 2012 to 2017, and he serves as consultant to the General Secretariat for Digital Transformation and E-Learning and head of the National Health Informatics Scientific Committee at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. His expertise covers family medicine, digital health, biomedical and health informatics and artificial intelligence.
