Assistant Deputy Minister for Health Informatics

Amar Ahmed Hijazi is Assistant Deputy Minister for Health Informatics at the Saudi Ministry of Health and a leader in health informatics and information technology who has driven advances in digital health and information systems across the Saudi healthcare sector. He holds a BSc from King Saud University and a master’s degree from King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. He was previously Chief Information Officer at Aldara Hospital and Medical Center, where he focused on disruptive technologies and knowledge transfer to improve healthcare delivery, and before that Consultant and Director of Information Technology at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital, overseeing IT operations and strategic initiatives.
