Amin H. Nasser
President & CEO
President and Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Aramco since 2015. A Saudi national and a petroleum engineering graduate of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, he joined the company in 1982 as an engineer and advanced through drilling, production and development before becoming Senior Vice President of Upstream. He led the company through its 2019 initial public offering, the largest in the history of the financial markets, and through the expansion of its refining and chemicals business via the acquisition of a majority stake in SABIC and partnerships in China, India and Korea. He oversees the gas expansion programme and the development of the Jafurah field, and the company’s targets for reducing operational emissions and reaching net zero across scopes one and two by 2050. Among his publicly stated positions is his criticism of what he calls optimistic assumptions in scenarios of declining oil demand.
