Amany Elmahy

Chief Executive

Amany Elmahy is Chief Executive at Misr Insurance, one of Egypt's principal insurance carriers, where her responsibilities run from strategic planning to operational oversight. Alongside that role she is a trustee of the African Insurance Women's Association and its ambassador for North Africa, and serves as the association's country executive officer for Egypt. She works as an international arbitrator with the Afro-Asian Union for International Law and Dispute Settlement, as a consultant on diplomatic international relations, and as regional coordinator for MENA Money across Arab, African and Asian markets. She studied at San Francisco State University. Among her stated areas of expertise is the advancement of women in the insurance profession, and she argues for continuous learning and ethical practice as the foundation of what an insurer owes its policyholders.
