Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Duhaim

Assistant Minister of Commerce

Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Duhaim is Assistant Minister of Commerce of Saudi Arabia, appointed to the post at excellent grade in May 2024. He previously served as Deputy Minister of Commerce for policies and regulations from June 2021, and before that as assistant deputy minister for regulations and bylaws, having originally joined the ministry as a legal advisor. His career spans more than ten years across the public and private sectors; before moving into government he practised at law firms in Riyadh and Dubai. He holds a master’s degree in international business law from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom and a bachelor’s degree in sharia from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. He represents the Ministry of Commerce at investment and economic forums, including the Najran Investment Forum and the Northern Borders Investment Forum, and his remit covers companies law, commercial policy and the development of the legislative environment for business.
