Uwe Andag is Executive Vice President and Head of Therapeutic Areas at Evotec, where he has established the company's Molecular Patient Database, a patient-centric, multi-omics approach that supports molecular understanding of disease and the identification of biomarkers and treatment options for metabolic, renal and inflammatory conditions. His role covers strategic decision-making across Evotec's therapeutic-area portfolio and exploring new technologies to strengthen its drug-discovery platform, drawing on data mining and PanOmics activities to generate high-resolution patient data for precise, personalised drug development. He holds a doctorate in Biochemistry from the University of Hannover and has built his career around protein chemistry, cell-based assays and pharmacology within Evotec's discovery organisation.
