Devyn Smith, PhD, is Chief Executive Officer of Arbor Biotechnologies, a next-generation gene-editing company founded by Feng Zhang, David Walt, David Scott and Winston Yan that is developing potentially curative genomic medicines. He joined Arbor as CEO and board member in April 2021, bringing more than twenty years of cell- and gene-therapy development and platform expertise after serving as Chief Operating Officer of Sigilon Therapeutics. Earlier in his career he held a variety of roles at Pfizer Inc., including Chief Operating Officer of its UK-based Neusentis unit focused on discovering and developing cell therapies. He holds a PhD in genetics from Harvard Medical School and has been elected Chairman of the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine.
