Dr Jennifer Holmgren is Chief Executive Officer of LanzaTech, guiding the company's development of platform chemicals and fuels including the world's first alternative jet fuel derived from industrial waste gases, and also serves as a director and Chair of the Board of LanzaJet. She previously served as Vice President and General Manager of the Renewable Energy and Chemicals business unit at UOP LLC, a Honeywell company, holding various commercial and technical leadership positions there from 1987 to 2010. She is the author or co-author of fifty US patents and more than thirty scientific publications, is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and was named number one of the one hundred most influential leaders in the bioeconomy by The Digest in 2017, receiving its Global Bioenergy Leadership Award in 2018. She holds a BSc from Harvey Mudd College, a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
