Dr Kholoud Alwosaibai is Director of the Biomedical Research Department at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam, where her research focuses on immunotherapy, dendritic cells and the tumour microenvironment in ovarian cancer. Her published work includes studies on PD-L1 expression in ovarian cancer and its association with cancer-stem-cell populations expressing CD44 and other stem-cell markers, on PAX2-induced vascular-like structures in ovarian cells linked to ovarian-cancer progression, and on p53-mutation-induced epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition associated with stem-cell properties and tumorigenesis in fallopian-tube cells, contributing methodology, investigation and writing to the latter study.
