Thian Chew
Chairmain and CEO
Thian Chew is Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Invion Limited, a clinical-stage life-sciences company developing Photosoft, a next-generation photodynamic therapy for treating cancers and infectious diseases. He is also co-founder of Chronic Airway Therapeutics, which is running clinical trials for respiratory disease treatments, and Managing Partner at Polar Ventures. Before moving into life sciences he spent the better part of a decade on Wall Street as an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in New York and Hong Kong, responsible for the firm's proprietary investments, having earlier been a Consultant Project Manager at Morgan Stanley's Strategic Services Group and held director-level positions at KPMG Consulting in Singapore and Sydney, where he led large-scale operational restructuring and post-merger integration programmes. He holds an MBA as a Palmer Scholar and an MA from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, a BA in Information Systems from Monash University, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
