Suman Lal
Founder, Industry Advisor in Healthcare and Medicine, Senior Advisor
Founder of the Technology Innovation Studio (TINS) and a senior advisor to the Cambridge Innovation Center and the Venture Cafe Global Institute, working as an industry advisor in healthcare and medicine. He holds an MD in clinical medicine and an MSc in human genetics, completed a PhD in precision medicine and clinical pharmacology, and earned his MBA at MIT as a Sloan Fellow with a focus on innovation and global leadership. His principal interest is in venture studio models for technology commercialisation, where he has built some fifteen years of operating experience. He served as Industry Advisor in Healthcare and Medicine at MIT and has held positions with Venture Cafe New England and the Cambridge Innovation Center, with earlier experience at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, the National University of Singapore and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. His current focus is developing TINS as a mini-ecosystem combining physical space, curated networks, consulting and innovation labs to accelerate breakthroughs in healthcare and life sciences.
