Sana Abdulrahman Fadil is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, where she chairs the Department of Natural Products and Biotechnology. She graduated in pharmacy from the same university in 2012, then completed a master's degree and a PhD in cell and molecular biology at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia between 2015 and 2021, joining the KAU faculty in May 2021. Her research centres on natural-product drug discovery: isolating bioactive compounds from Red Sea sponges, marine-derived fungi and medicinal plants, and evaluating their anticancer and anti-inflammatory activity through in vitro assays and molecular modelling. Since 2021 she has published some nineteen peer-reviewed papers in journals including Marine Drugs, Molecules and Antioxidants, and she has been a member of the American Society for Cell Biology since 2015.
