Steve Yang

Co-CEO

Steve Yang is Co-Chief Executive Officer of WuXi AppTec, where he also heads the WuXi Biology and WuXi Testing business units, managing operations across multiple business and regional units worldwide. He is recognised in the pharmaceutical industry for building R&D and service capabilities, delivering research and early-development drug portfolios, and establishing R&D partnerships across the United States, Europe, China and other Asian and emerging markets. Before joining WuXi AppTec he was Vice President and Head of Asia and Emerging Markets iMed at AstraZeneca in Shanghai, and previously Vice President and Head of Asia R&D at Pfizer in Shanghai, as well as Executive Director and head of Pfizer's global R&D strategic management group in the United States. He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and studied at Fudan University Shanghai Medical College, Michigan Technological University and the University of California, San Francisco.
