Souad Messahel is Chief Executive Officer and Founding Partner of Genesis Gene Therapies, where her work has centred on advancing innovative therapies for rare neurological disorders and translating scientific discoveries into clinical applications for patients and their families. She holds a PhD in Clinical Neurology and has more than twenty years of experience in translational neuroscience and novel drug-discovery pathways, biomarker development and clinical trials, managing portfolios of disease programmes at both translational and clinical stages. Her expertise spans the full arc of clinical development, from designing and executing development plans and writing clinical protocols and FDA IND and BLA submissions, to leading cross-functional teams delivering rare-disease therapies through regulated trials.
