Sarantis Chlamydas

Global Lead, Human Health and MultiOmics Strategy

A Greek scientist working in epigenetics, chromatin regulation, proteomics and multi-omics data integration. He is Global Lead for Human Health and MultiOmics Strategy at Olink Proteomics, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, and is based in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region of Germany. He completed his PhD in molecular biology and genetics at the University of Bari in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg, with a dissertation on the formation of pericentromeric and centromeric chromatin, and continued there as a research fellow in Asifa Akhtar's laboratory. He joined Olink in late 2021 to lead its global multi-omics strategy. Since 2020 he has been a member of the University Research Institute of Athens with the honorary rank of researcher at assistant professor level, and since 2022 an editor at the journal Epigenetics. His publications have drawn more than 520 citations, with an h-index of 9.
