Rafael Rosengarten

Rafael Rosengarten is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Genialis, a company applying machine learning and RNA biology to biomarker discovery and precision oncology, building AI models that decode the biology of different cancers and identify the therapies most likely to help individual patients. He studied at Dartmouth College before earning his PhD at Yale University as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, focusing on the evolution of immune recognition, and went on to spend nearly twenty years in biomedical research, including work with the synthetic-biology team at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory's Joint BioEnergy Institute, publishing across evolution, immunology, bioengineering and genetics before turning to precision medicine. He is also a board member and co-founder of the Alliance for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, a non-profit advocacy and educational organisation promoting the responsible development of AI in healthcare.
