Pelin Incesu

Pelin Incesu is Area Vice President for the Middle East and Africa at AstraZeneca, a role she has held since 2020 overseeing operations across some fifty countries and a workforce of more than 2,700 employees. She joined AstraZeneca in 2000 and has spent over two decades with the company across medical, marketing, government-affairs and commercial roles, including serving as Vice President of Commercial Strategy and International and as Country President for Turkiye. Originally trained as a medical doctor and psychiatrist, with a residency at Bakirkoy Mental Health State Hospital and studies at Ege University, she brings a patient-centred perspective to her leadership of the region, with a focus on building local infrastructure and improving patient access to medicines across her diverse portfolio of markets.
