Nermeen Ashoush
Health Economics Director
Nermeen Ashoush is Health Economics and Outcomes Research Associate Director for the Middle East and Africa region at Amgen, working to evaluate the economic value of biologic therapies for the region's health systems. She holds a master's degree and a doctorate in Clinical Pharmacy Practice from Ain Shams University and studied Health Economics and Outcomes Research at the University of Washington, alongside a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Misr International University. From 2012 to 2021 she held academic appointments as Assistant Lecturer and later Assistant Professor in the Clinical Pharmacy Practice Department at the British University in Egypt, where she founded and headed the Health Economics Unit at the university's Center for Drug Research and Development, and later taught at the School of Pharmacy of New Giza University in collaboration with University College London. She has co-authored published work on market access, pharmaceutical pricing and healthcare costs, and continues to serve as an adjunct professor for a postgraduate Health Economics programme at the University of South Wales.
