Michael Oberreiter

Michael Oberreiter is Head of External Affairs International at F. Hoffmann-La Roche, based in Basel, where he has spent close to thirty years working across access and policy issues in both developed and emerging pharmaceutical markets. An industrial economist by training, he holds postgraduate qualifications in International Politics and Communications, and has held senior positions across both the research-based and generic pharmaceutical industries, including serving as General Secretary of national industry associations. His professional focus centres on healthcare-system analysis, the funding and organisation of health services, and value-based pricing and reimbursement, and he has convened external-affairs, policy, communications and health-economics leaders from more than thirty countries to advance international dialogue on healthcare policy and innovation.
