Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Max Brown, CEng, MSc, BSc, MCSM, is a Chartered Engineer and Principal Consultant in geotechnical engineering who leads the geotechnical department at SRK UK. He has over 28 years of international experience in the extractive industries, specialising in rock mechanics in both open-pit and underground mining. He is experienced in developing and interpreting geotechnical datasets from drillholes, geophysics and mapping, and in the subsequent definition of rock mass characterisation for excavation design, and is conversant with 3D modelling and specialist limit equilibrium and finite element analysis.
