Sebastien Burlon

Geotechnical Manager

Sébastien Burlon is a geotechnical expert at Cerema, the major French public agency for developing public expertise in urban planning and the ecological and energy transition. His expertise covers geotechnical structure design and consultancy including soil-structure interaction and numerical modelling, research and development leading national and European projects, university teaching and standardisation. He was strongly involved in developing the second generation of Eurocode 7, for which a specific safety framework was developed for numerical modelling, and he is now Vice-Chair of Eurocode 7.
