Khalid Abdel-Mageed Abdel-Rahman completed his bachelor's study at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University in Cairo with an overall grade of Excellent, then obtained a master's degree with an overall grade of Excellent in Geotechnique and Infrastructure Engineering at the University of Hannover. His PhD at the University of Dortmund in Germany produced innovative results on the numerical investigation of scale effects in earth pressure problems. He then joined the Institute for Geotechnical Engineering at Leibniz University of Hannover, where he serves as Oberingenieur and deputy head.
