Margarete Schramboeck
Board Member, Former Federal Minister for Digital and Economic Affairs of Austria
Margarete Schramboeck served twice as Austria's Federal Minister for Digital and Economic Affairs, first from December 2017 to June 2019 and again from January 2020 to May 2022. Before entering government she spent some twenty-two years in the information technology and telecommunications sector, moving through Alcatel and NTT to the chief executive role at A1 Telekom Austria, her country's largest telecom operator, between May 2016 and October 2017. She studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and today sits on the board of Aramco Digital and advises Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment, a position that places her in direct contact with technology investment files in the Kingdom.
