Strategy, Sustainable Development & MICE Tourism Expert

Khaled Altareri is an expert in strategy, sustainable development and MICE tourism, with more than seventeen years spent on regulatory reform, international trade relations and transformation programmes in Saudi Arabia. He completed his doctoral research at Victoria University in Melbourne on the development of multicultural MICE tourism in the Middle East, using the Kingdom as its case, and also holds an MBA. He has served as a delegate to the OECD, the G20, the WTO and the United Nations, and has contributed to national strategies covering trade, SMEs, foreign trade, consumer protection and investment law, with a focus on destination development and government-led initiatives in the events and hospitality sector. He writes opinion columns for Arab News on tourism and sustainable development in the Kingdom.
