Dr Hytham Al-Masri is Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hematogenix Laboratory Services, a specialised contract research organisation with a global presence focused on cancer research and diagnostics. He founded Hematogenix in Chicago in 2007 with only two employees and a leased space of two thousand square feet, and previously served as Director of the Haematology and Cytopathology Laboratories at Mount Sinai Hospital. Under his leadership Hematogenix has expanded internationally, including recent engagement in Syria, where he met President Ahmed al-Sharaa in Damascus alongside the Health Minister to discuss cancer treatment and healthcare cooperation, and signed an agreement to establish an advanced cancer centre in Damascus.
