Faraj Atassi

Faraj Atassi is a CMC and pharmaceutical development leader who has worked on formulation and process development for Alexion, the rare-disease unit of AstraZeneca, after earlier roles at AstraZeneca's advanced drug-delivery pharmaceutical-sciences group in Boston and at Eli Lilly. His published work includes research on extended-release subcutaneous, thermo-responsive in-situ gel-forming delivery systems for small molecules, addressing formulation performance for injectable therapeutics. He has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Rhode Island, bringing an academic perspective to his industry work in chemistry, manufacturing and controls (CMC) for biologics and small-molecule drug products.
