Duncan YU

Director and President

Duncan Yu is Executive Vice President of BGI Group and President of MGI, having joined BGI in 2014 as Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific. Across his tenure at BGI he has held roles including General Manager for Asia Pacific and South China, Chief Operating Officer of BGI Group, Director of the BGI International Development Centre and member of BGI Group's executive management team. Before joining BGI, he worked at GE Healthcare, where he served as Head of Marketing for GE Healthcare Life China, General Manager for GE Healthcare Hong Kong and Macau, and General Manager for Greater China at GE Healthcare Life Sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of Iowa.
