Dean Summerfield is Senior Vice President, Real World and Commercial Solutions, EMEA at IQVIA, based in Reading, United Kingdom, with more than twenty-two years of experience in consulting and services across the life-sciences sector helping companies build fact-based commercial strategies and achieve profitable growth. Over his career at IQVIA and its predecessor Quintiles he has held a series of senior vice-president roles spanning analytics, consulting services and real-world evidence, and has spoken on how IQVIA supports the European Medicines Agency's DARWIN EU coordination initiative and on the path to market for emerging biotech companies. He holds a DPhil in chemistry from the University of Oxford.
